Pancake Cats Tee for MINI DON GRAND DON
Since last week, I started introducing my past works from late 2013-2014 which I haven't shared on Cats I Know blog nor my portfolio. We've been making new photos of them to give some love and freshness to old works. To not miss upcoming lovely images, make sure to follow Cats I Know on Instagram and Facebook. Works from 2014 #1 is here.

The second of this photo series is actually from fall 2013: Pancake Cats Tee for Mini Don Grand Don - Paris-based charity organization for the victims of 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami. Japanese-Parisienne musician Kumisolo (yes, I'm a big fan) is one of the founder of this community organization and she asked me to make an illustration for their event in Paris. Her only request for the illustration was following the idea of their goal which already reflected to their name Mini Don (small donations) Make Grand Don (a big difference/Big donation). While sketching rough images, the image of my Cat People making unlimited pieces of pancakes together as a team quickly came up to my head. Cooking food from scratch and eating together with people you love is the easiest way to keep the community connected, no? I feel like we learnt a lot about it when we lived in an organic farm in Oberlin, Ohio a few years ago, where I made this illustration.

Now, let's come back to 2015 and move the subject to these new photos which we shot yesterday at our flat with a great help from our friends Kamila and Libor. Even though these beautiful models had never met before this shoot, there was definitely a good chemistry between all of us. Maybe because we're all like…lazy Cat People? Can you see it in their poses? ;-)

Poster for The Guardians of Recoleta

I have a good amount of time at the moment, so no excuses for not catching up to organize and update my portfolio with all the works I've done in 2014. Over the next few weeks, I will be introducing my past works from late 2013-2014 which I haven't shared with you here on Cats I Know blog nor my portfolio, with new photos. Make sure to follow Cats I Know on Instagram and Facebook for the latest updates.

The first one to share with you here is the "final product" of "The Guardians of Recoleta" poster! It was printed in LA and arrived all the way here to Prague last month. Seeing my own illustration printed as a large format poster really made me happy. I'm sending a huge thanks to Blake and Adrienne Kuhre, who are the filmmakers of this documentary. "The Guardians of Recoleta" is about the lives of cats and their caretakers that inhabit a popular tourist landmark in Buenos Aires. The production is working on their post-production right now and I'm hoping to see the film on some festivals in Europe soon ;-)

Have a nice weekend and see you again next week!
