FANZINES! Festival 2012

I contributed two of my zines - Cats I Know and Question Marks - to Fanzines! Festival 2012 which will take place at the Marguerite Duras Public Library in Paris. Reception on October 19th, a lot of events & exhibitions will be happening during the festival, and more than 400 zines from all over the world will be exhibited. Wish I could visit the festival!

SUNDAY BOOKS (12noon-8pm today!)

Are you in Tokyo today? If so, visit SUNDAY ISSUE in Shibuya where "SUNDAY BOOKS" - the fun event for zine + self published book lovers - is happening. My Cats I Know, Question Marks zine and cat pin buttons will be available at Kotoriten mini book shop there. SUNDAY ISSUE is located at a very convenient place: it's less than a minute walk from exit #13 of Shibuya Station (Tokyo Metro.)

Thunderbird Mask

I made a mask for an American poet Dorothea Lasky to wear as a costume during her reading tour for her new poetry book Thunderbird. This was such a fun and fresh project for me to create something outside of what I usually do - sewing! Inspired by both the Onnellinen fabric from Marimekko and Dorothea Lasky who is like a beautiful wild bird. xoxo
